Not just trauma-informed: building real relationships to heal complex trauma, one person at a time.
About
I work with people carrying some of the heaviest things a person can carry: complex trauma, PTSD, dissociative disorders, and the kind of pain that doesn't fit neatly into a single diagnosis. My approach isn't one-size-fits-all, because you aren't. Before we settle on any plan, I want to learn about you, what you bring into the room, and what actually matters to you. That relationship is the foundation everything else is built on.
I draw on EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Clinical Hypnosis, ACT, DBT, and somatic approaches, among others. Since 2021, I've been receiving advanced training through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), working toward their Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation. I'm also trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model. I bring all of that into sessions, but I hold it lightly, because what works is what works for you.
I'm comfortable sitting with the hard stuff, whether that's grief, faith questions, neurodivergence, addiction, or the complicated intersection of all of the above. I'll challenge you when it's useful, validate you when you need it, and occasionally make a joke about cats interrupting therapy. I work with children, teens, adults, and older adults, individually and in groups, and I see people in person at my Saint John office or virtually.
I'm currently on a waitlist for new clients. If you're ready to take that first step, reach out and we'll get you on the list.
