About
Most people who reach out are exhausted. They're tired of the knot in their chest, the arguments at home, and the feeling that they should be okay by now but aren't. I work with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, relationship struggles, and difficult life transitions. As a practicing Muslim, I also support clients who want their faith woven into the work, drawing on Islamic psychology and Quranic principles alongside evidence-based approaches.
I'm a registered social worker with an MSW from the University of Toronto and over a decade of experience. My approach is integrative: for couples, I use the Gottman Method to rebuild communication and trust; for individuals, I blend CBT, DBT, and solution-focused approaches to help manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and move forward; for deeper work, I draw on trauma-focused, narrative, and mindfulness-based techniques. You'll always know why we're doing what we're doing.
Relationships, addiction, and self-worth often shape each other in quiet, painful ways. We start by understanding what's really going on beneath the surface, then work together on the patterns, communication, and inner narratives that keep you stuck. Whether you're in couples, family, or individual work, expect honest conversation, practical tools, and steady progress at a pace that feels right for you.
Reaching out can feel like the hardest part. You don't need a polished story or a clear plan. You just need to be willing to start the conversation. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone. When you're ready, I'm here.
