A warm, curious space to understand yourself differently and move toward the life you want.

About

I work with people who are ready to understand themselves and their world a little differently. Whether you are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship or family challenges, cultural identity, or a major life transition, I am here to walk alongside you as you create real change. My approach is genuinely client-centered, which means I listen carefully to what you bring and draw from a range of evidence-based frameworks, including EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, IFS parts work, and mindfulness, selecting what actually fits you rather than applying a one-size approach.

I am curious about the patterns that show up in your life and where they come from. I find myself drawn to exploring how early experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves and others today, and I believe that naming those patterns with honesty and compassion is often where real movement begins. I tend to be warm and direct, and I will gently challenge you when I think it serves you, while always checking in about how things land.

I see individuals and couples, and I offer both in-person sessions in Orleans on Tuesdays and virtual sessions throughout the week. Sessions are $160 and are covered by most extended health insurance plans, including Blue Cross and Veterans Affairs Canada. I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can figure out together whether we are a good fit.

Frequently asked questions

What does a first session with you look like?
The first session is always a bit different than later sessions. My goal is to understand how the concern you are presenting to therapy with fits within the broader context of your life and history. This means that we will touch on many topics as I try to get a picture of your history and your current day-to-day. We also use the intake process to set therapy goals together and make sure we are on the same page on how you can achieve these goals.
How quickly can I book a first appointment?
I am typically available for a 15-minute consult within 1-2 business days after you reach out and can generally book a first session within a week if our availabilities match up.
Who do you typically work best with?
I love working with clients who are excited to understand themselves differently, prepared to take accountability for their patterns, and willing to make changes in their lives. If you are seeing a gap between where you are and where you'd like to be, I am here to help you gain insight on why and take steps toward courageous change.
What should I do if I'm not sure therapy is right for me?
That's okay! Therapy is all about timing and fit. If you have any concerns, I am happy to discuss them with you during the free 15-minute consult and offer up alternate resources or referrals as appropriate.
What's your approach to working with Depression?
I firmly believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and so, I use a variety of approaches, and as I get to know you in the first couple of sessions, we will discuss what might be a good fit for you.
