Culturally responsive therapy for trauma, anxiety, stress, and individuals reclaiming their identity.

About

I specialize in trauma therapy and psychological services for immigrant communities, trauma survivors, and individuals navigating identity, belonging, and resilience. At STEPS, I offer a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive environment where you are seen, heard, and understood, whether you're managing immigration stress, healing from racial trauma, or searching for a therapist who truly gets your cultural background.

My therapy specialties include immigration stress and acculturative adjustment, racial trauma, anxiety and chronic stress, sexual abuse recovery, relationship challenges, and cultural, racial, gender, and personal identity concerns. I also work with families and support parents navigating complex dynamics.

Beyond therapy, I provide immigration psychological evaluations, including hardship, VAWA, U-Visa, and asylum evaluations, as well as support letters for gender-affirming procedures, offering thorough and compassionate documentation for your care team.

I currently offer therapy exclusively online, serving clients across New York, California, and Ontario. I work with adults, adolescents, and children, and I provide services in both English and Spanish.

Frequently asked questions

What will therapy be like?
Therapy is a deeply personal experience that looks different for everyone. During our initial sessions, I'll ask questions to better understand your needs and history. From there, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you โ€” focusing on what matters most at each stage of your journey.
Do you accept insurance?
I am no longer in-network with traditional insurance plans. However, I am in-network with Lyra Health. If your employer offers Lyra Health as part of your benefits package, your sessions may be covered at no out-of-pocket cost to you. If you have private insurance, you may still be able to see me as an out-of-network provider. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits, which means your insurer may reimburse you for a portion of your session fees. I'm happy to provide a monthly superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit directly to your insurance company. I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
