Laid-back, genuine counselling where humor is welcome and healing actually feels possible.

About

Sometimes pain becomes so distracting, confusing, and overwhelming that it gets hard to appreciate your own worth or find meaning in your life. I consider it an honour to create a space where healing can happen. I work to bring respect, genuineness, and empathy into every session, and clients often comment on my laid-back approach and casual demeanor. I use humor and sarcasm because I genuinely believe counselling can be something on your to-do list that you actually look forward to.

I have a deep passion for reproductive mental health, and I regularly support women and their families navigating emotional and mental health concerns connected to pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, miscarriage, birth loss, termination, and birth-related trauma. I also work with individuals dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use, self-harm, body image, and self-esteem. I bring over 10 years of experience working specifically with adolescents in a youth mental health program.

In our work together, we might draw on approaches like IFS, CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, somatic exploration, or motivational interviewing, depending on what fits you best. I tend to use your own words and build on them, ask questions that open things up rather than close them down, and balance validation with gentle challenges when that feels right. My goal is for you to feel genuinely seen, not managed.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can get a sense of whether we are a good fit. Reach out by phone or email whenever you are ready.
