About
Life's challenges can feel overwhelming, leaving you stuck in patterns of stress or conflict that seem impossible to break. I'm Lacey, a Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience providing psychotherapy both online and in person. At LDM Counselling, I take a personalized and thoughtful approach, working with you to create an individualized plan that promotes lasting change aligned with your vision for balance and mental wellness.
While I work with a diverse range of clients, I am deeply committed to supporting Indigenous individuals and communities, providing care that is culturally responsive, empowering, and indigenized. I bring cultural insider knowledge to navigate systems effectively, and I'm not afraid to advocate directly on your behalf when barriers get in the way.
I use Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) as a core modality because I've found it the most effective way to help clients safely process and resolve emotional pain. I also draw on the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring the combination to what fits you best. Each session has a practical takeaway, and we work at a pace that feels manageable.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals and couples can overcome challenges, build resilience, and move forward with confidence. I'm a member of Psychotherapy Matters, a virtual clinic that connects LDM Counselling directly to consulting psychiatrists. Call or email for a free 15-minute consultation.
