Walking alongside you in healing of spirit, mind, heart, and body.

About

I am a servant-leader who retired as a Major after 16 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces. That background shaped how I work: I bring structure, purpose, and genuine respect for each person's dignity into every session. During my service, I gained deep experience in vocational counselling for military personnel at all rank levels, including wounded soldiers and those navigating the shift from military to civilian life.

I believe in the innate worth of every person, and empowering you is at the core of what I do. Together, we co-discover insights into your purpose, build practical skills, and find hope. I integrate the life-giving themes of love, faith, compassion, and gratitude to help you recognize your strengths and build resilience. Whether you are facing trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, or a major life transition, I will walk alongside you in your healing journey.

For couples, I use the Gottman Method, a Level 3 certified approach with a strong evidence base, focused on building intimacy, respect, and empathy within the relationship. I also draw on CBT, EMDR, ACT, Narrative therapy, and trauma-focused approaches, weaving in a Christian counselling framework for those who find faith central to their healing.

I am part of the Christian Counselling Ottawa team, where clients are matched to the therapist best suited to their needs. I offer both in-person and online appointments. If you are ready to take the first step, I would be glad to hear from you.
