Addiction recovery, career clarity, and real change, from someone who's walked the path himself.

About

I'm a Registered Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and an M.A. in Literature and Philosophy. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 30 years in the technology industry, so I bring a pretty different lens to the work, one that blends clinical training with real-world career and leadership experience. That background shapes how I show up with clients: warm, direct, and genuinely curious about what's getting in the way.

A big part of my practice focuses on addiction and mental health, with a particular emphasis on substance addictions and behavioral addictions like food and sex/porn addiction. I'm a licensed CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist), and I've spent many years in my own self-development and recovery journey, which means I understand this work from the inside out. I draw on approaches including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, IFS, somatic work, and 12-step integration depending on what fits best for each person.

Career counselling is the other major thread running through my practice. I use psychometric tools like the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to help people get real clarity on who they are and where they want to go. Whether you're navigating a career pivot, a leadership challenge, or a major life transition, I'll help you connect the dots between your personality, your values, and your next move.

I work with adults online, and I bring a conversational, collaborative style to every session. I share my own story when it's useful, I'll challenge you gently when something doesn't quite add up, and I genuinely care about the people I work with. If any of this resonates, reach out, I'd love to connect.
