About
I'm Jessica Saran, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with deep experience in mental health, high-acuity medical settings, and public safety. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in public safety, and that background shapes how I show up in every session: direct, calm under pressure, and focused on helping people navigate hard situations in practical, no-nonsense ways. I bring that same energy to therapy, creating a space that's supportive, straightforward, and genuinely useful.
Life gets hard. Relationships get complicated. Stress builds. You don't need a diagnosis or a perfectly articulated problem to reach out. Sometimes you just need a place to slow things down, make sense of what's going on, and figure out what you actually want moving forward. My approach is low-pressure and non-judgmental. I meet you where you are and tailor the work to fit you, not the other way around. I draw on CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused approaches, and Narrative Therapy, depending on what's most useful for you.
I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents. With younger clients, I use developmentally appropriate approaches including play therapy, psychoeducation, and scenario-based work to build emotional regulation, patience, and social skills. I also have advanced training in CBIT and ERP, supporting people with tic disorders, OCD, and anxiety. A significant part of my practice focuses on military members, veterans, first responders, and public safety professionals. I understand the culture and the unique pressures of those roles, and I approach that work with both clinical expertise and genuine respect.
I also specialize in psychological testing and evaluation, providing comprehensive assessments that give real clarity for treatment or educational planning. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, chronic illness, or just a season of life that feels stuck, the goal is the same: help you understand yourself better, build strategies that actually work, and make changes that stick.
