Counsellor
Telehealth only: British Columbia
Warm, direct support for trauma, grief, addiction, and life's harder chapters, in Kamloops and online.
About
I work with people who are carrying a lot, whether that's trauma, grief, addiction, burnout, relationship strain, or the kind of exhaustion that makes it hard to know where to start. My approach is practical and grounded: I draw from ACT, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and mindfulness, and I tailor what I use to what actually fits you. I work with children, youth, adults, couples, and families.
I tend to be pretty direct, and I'm not going to pretend I have all the answers. I'll validate what's hard, challenge what's keeping you stuck, and sometimes share something from my own life if it helps. I believe healing happens in relationship, and I take that seriously. If something isn't working between us, I'll say so.
I have experience supporting first responders, people navigating critical incidents, folks working through grief and loss, and clients dealing with burnout and compassion fatigue. I also work with people on return-to-work planning and with those who need support around substance use through a harm reduction lens.
BlueCross and GreenShield direct billing are available. I offer in-person sessions in Kamloops, as well as video and phone counselling. I am an ICBC and FNHA approved provider.

Frequently asked questions
- What does a first session with you look like?
- A first session with me is a relaxed, collaborative conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to counselling. We’ll talk about what has been happening in your life, what you would like support with, and what you hope might change. You won’t be expected to share anything before you’re ready, and there is no pressure to arrive with everything figured out. I’ll answer any questions you have, explain how I work, and together we’ll begin identifying a direction that feels practical, meaningful, and manageable for you.
- Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?
- I offer evening appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as appointments every other Saturday. Please contact me to discuss current availability.
- What's your approach to working with Trauma & PTSD?
- I take a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes safety, trust, and moving at your pace. We’ll focus on understanding how trauma continues to affect your life, strengthening coping skills, and gradually working toward healing without pressuring you to share more than feels manageable.
- How can I book a first appointment?
- Contact me by phone, text, or email to arrange your first appointment or a free 15-minute consultation. Once you’ve been added to my secure client portal, you’ll be able to book subsequent sessions online.
- Do you offer direct billing to insurance providers?
- I currently direct bill GreenShield and Blue Cross and am also an approved provider with FNHA and CVAP. Depending on your coverage and needs, I’m happy to explore direct billing with other providers as well.
