Helping couples and individuals break free from stuck relational patterns, with warmth, curiosity, and gently humorous care.
About
At Creative Hearts Collaborative, I work with couples and individuals who feel stuck in chronic relational patterns, whether that shows up as conflict cycles, emotional reactivity, boundary confusion, withdrawal, power imbalance, or overfunctioning and underfunctioning dynamics. Individually, I support people navigating people-pleasing, codependency, shame-driven over-responsibility, family role pressures, difficulty asserting needs, and relational anxiety. Clients describe me as warm, engaging, and gently humorous, and I bring that same energy to every session.
My approach is primarily psychodynamically oriented, which means I'm interested in what's underneath the surface, the unmet needs, the defensive patterns, the stories we've inherited from our families. I also draw on CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, Gottman, and Bowenian frameworks to meet each client where they are. My role isn't to give you the right answer, but to hold up a mirror, walk alongside you, and help you find clarity. I pay close attention to what gets intellectualized, what gets avoided, and what might be something that's worth sitting with a little longer.
I speak English, Cantonese, and conversational Mandarin, and I specialize in evidence-based treatment for immigrants. Over five years, I've supported adults and teens in residential treatment centers and intensive outpatient programs, working within multidisciplinary teams. I also run an in-office Highly Sensitive Person support group, because I believe healing is often relational, and no one should have to navigate their journey alone.
If you've been carrying too much on your own, therapy can be a place where you are understood, accepted, and supported. We can explore your story with compassion and curiosity, process what's been holding you back, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.
