EFT for individuals and couples: making sense of emotions, building connection, and finding balance.
About
I work with individuals and couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). For individuals, EFT helps you process your emotions and make sense of them so you can use them as a guide and become more balanced emotionally. For couples, EFT helps partners understand the vulnerable feelings underneath the reactivity in conflict, or the disconnection that comes from withdrawal. As you make sense of one another's vulnerability, space opens up for compassion and understanding.
Alongside EFT, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, attachment-based approaches, the Gottman Method, and faith-integrated therapy when it fits. My goal is to go deeper with you, addressing root causes rather than surface symptoms, and to help you build emotional understanding, stronger communication, and self-care practices that genuinely enrich your life and relationships.
I also provide clinical supervision to therapists in the Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Registered Psychotherapist categories. I'm a relational supervisor, and I believe supervision needs to feel safe and transparent to allow for real growth. I create space for supervisees to make mistakes and learn from them, because that's how we grow.
I have received extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, and Grief Therapy. I've been in practice for 9 years and offer a free 15-minute consultation to get started.
