High-functioning on the outside, struggling within? You deserve a space to finally stop carrying it all alone.
About
You may be someone who appears high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Perhaps you struggle with trauma, chronic stress, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, self-doubt, or life transitions that have left you feeling stuck, reactive, or unlike yourself. Therapy can offer a space where you no longer have to navigate everything alone.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem, emotional burnout, relationship challenges, caregiving stress, and major life changes. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe symptoms often make sense in the context of what a person has lived through. Together, we work to understand the deeper emotional patterns beneath anxiety, overwhelm, emotional shutdown, self-criticism, or relational difficulties, while also developing practical tools for regulation.
Before immigrating to Canada, I worked as a specialist physician for nearly a decade. My background in medicine allows me to approach psychotherapy with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, and I bring a holistic, evidence-based perspective to my work. I draw from relational, psychodynamic, somatic, attachment-based, and trauma-focused frameworks, and I incorporate CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, parts-based (IFS), and somatic practices. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, an offshoot of EMDR.
I also provide an affirming space for neurodiverse and LGBTQ clients who may feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and others. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you're used to handling things on your own. If something here resonates, I invite you to connect for a free 15-minute consultation to see whether we may be a good fit.
