Clinical Social Worker

Part of Psychotherapy at the Nottawasga Family Health Centre

Compassionate, trauma-focused therapy to build confidence, self-esteem, and self-compassion.

About

I work with a gentle, compassionate, and trauma-focused approach, meeting each person where they are and building on their existing strengths. My clients know that I care deeply about helping them move through fear and self-doubt toward greater confidence, self-esteem, and self-compassion.

I have a particular interest in supporting students in higher education. My background as a College Accessibility Counsellor, combined with legal and social work experience, gives me a grounded understanding of the unique pressures these students face, from balancing academic demands to navigating personal challenges at the same time.

Over 15 years of providing psychotherapy in rehabilitation clinics and through employee assistance programs, I have worked with people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to help you find your footing, and I am also trained in EMDR for trauma processing.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and am a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I offer a free 15-minute introductory session so you can learn what to expect before we begin.
